Hill City is located in southwestern Pennington County near the Wyoming boarder. It is the home of the 1880 Train, Black Hills Institute of Geological Research and Wades Gold Mill and Museum. It is centrally located in the Black Hill National Forest hence the Heart of the Hills brand name. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Harney Peak and Custer State Peak are just minutes away.
